Sand Point Language Class Scholarship Opportunity!!
Through a pilot program, LASER Leaps is offering a limited number of scholarships for its language classes in Spanish and Chinese for the Spring 2012 Sand Point Leaps session. Both the Chinese and Spanish classes are eager to welcome those who are new to the language as well as those who may have experience as speakers at any level. Information required includes completed Scholarship Form, Program Registration Form, and a signed Participation Agreement.Programs are filled on a first come, first served basis and some fill before the end of the registration period, so the earlier the information is received by LASER, the better the chances of enrollment.

Join One on One Basketball at Sand Point Elementary for After School Hoops®, an ideal introduction to the most dynamic sport in the world. Our instructors will not only teach your child athletic fundamentals through progressive drills, engaging cardio and fun competitions, but we will use these fundamentals as a platform to teach life-skill lessons that reinforce positive attitudes about effort, respect, cooperation and self-control. After School Hoops® makes three guarantees: your child will learn, sweat and have fun! The instructors use a variety ofenjoyable activities such as games, songs and stories to teach vocabulary. These classes areavailable to students in grades K-5 at both beginner and intermediate levels. Drama Club LASER hosts after school theater performance classes with instruction done by Stone Soup Theatre. Classes will be available for K-3rd grades. The classes will culminate in a performance offered to parents, friends, and other family members at the end of each session. This is a hands-on class where students will design and build machines, catapults, pyramids, derby cars, buildings and other constructions out of LEGO® bricks. While exploring engineering, architecture and physics, students will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. A great class for both beginners and those with previous dance experience. This program will teach your child rhythm, grace, balance, coordination and poise, within both group and solo settings. Students also have regular opportunities to create their own steps and routines. Instructor has over 21 years experience teaching children's dance, and proper fitness and safety techniques are stressed at all times. Space is limited, so be sure to enroll your student today!
